Bosnia is a diverse cultural crossroads with a rich and harrowing history. It is at once a beautiful glimpse into a uniquely forged culture which is still what we would call fairly “off the beaten path” and a sobering stroll through a history which is rarely covered thoroughly in textbooks. Where picturesque rivers, lakes, and rolling hills meet Ottoman minarets and old Orthodox cathedrals within battered stone walls of quiet little towns, one can find an almost fairytale-esque scene.
